1: When did you start training as an MMA fighter?
It all started for me around 1999, i achieved a 5-0-1 as an an Amateur and now I'm 3-1-0 as a Pro.
2: How long have you been training with Tom Blackledge?
I've trained with Tom since I was about 20, he initially helped improve my fitness, then I got seriously into Boxing and turned Pro (it was easier at the Boxing Gym - Tom, Ian Quigley and Dave Lee weren't there). When I finished Boxing I began traiining with Tom again and the rest....as they say...is history.
3: What has been you most memorable fight to date?
I've had a few top fights I can't single one of them out (Mawdsley, Moore, Dutch and hill).
4: What's a day in the life of Scott Mitchell like?
I get up, train a couple of times then to work at Elite where I'm a Boxing instructor. I spend a lot of time reading or on Youtube learning about Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
5: What are your aspirations for your future in MMA?
I want to be in a few more fight of the nights!
6: Who inspires you in the world of MMA and why?
Tom inspires me, he had to teach himself from beta-max tapes when he started, most people probably don't even know what they are, but we're so lucky to be able to learn from him. My team mates inspire me, seeing how much they sacrifice and how hard they train.
